Komodo version 5.1 is live!

Here at Komodo HQ we are delighted to announce that Komodo Version 5.1 is live. Here's what's new:

New money curriculum

Our new money curriculum introduces two highly interactive Komodo levels to help children get to grips with the difficult topic of handling money. They will be automatically assigned to learners as soon as their Komodo app updates - so if you're on a phone or tablet you've probably already been updated.

The first money level focuses on knowing the coins, adding coins up to 20 and paying for items with the exact money. The second money level involves handling larger quantities, change, decimal money and money problems. Here's a taste of what to expect:

Customize your money

If you're reading this thinking we use Euro not US dollars don't worry, we've thought of that. There are four currencies built into Komodo, and yours will be automatically matched to your region. Furthermore if you're in the USA and want to learn with Euro money simply select that currency in the parent dashboard settings:

Updating your Komodo app

In many cases your app will update automatically, but you can check by tapping on the Komodo logo at the bottom of the main menu screen.

If yours hasn't updated yet, we've made this guide to the next steps for you here.

About Komodo – Komodo is a fun and effective way to boost K-5 math skills. Designed for 5 to 11 year olds to use in the home, Komodo uses a little and often approach to learning math (20 minutes, three to five times per week) that fits into the busy family routine. Komodo helps users develop fluency and confidence in math – without keeping them at the screen for long.
